New path finding system

At last the new path finding system has been implemented, which means units can now navigate inside buildings. Also they move in a nice formations too :P

Gameplay video

At last its here! Check out the first in game video demonstrating the current progress of the game. Obviously you can see there is a lot to accomplish but you should be able to get an idea of where we are going with it. On top of what you see will be an extensive tech tree featuring many weapons, vehicles and upgrades. Plus base structures and internal placements such as turrets, forcefields, cameras and more.

Base Construction

So now that the FPS aspect is in a pretty good shape, ive started work on the base building.
Just working on a right or wrong system to make pieces easier to snap together.

This is of course in adition to the facilities that already exist such as the power plant.

I've never really thought about it before but seems pathfinding is quite interesting when trying to get it working inside buildings and outside. Currently trying a few systems to cater for both environments. Seems the most simplistic option might be best

V22 multiplayer game

So will all the elements in place, thought would have a go of the multiplayer. Seemed to work fairly well, only 3 bugs which isn't too bad.
Right now the mini gun rips through anything which is quite spectacular, but not very fun for the other guy.

Almost at a playable state

Yikes! How did I get into this state? Was working away slowly fixing bugs and before I knew it Industry is now in a playable state! Complete with base building, 6 types of weapons(eventually there will be over 20-30), tank driving, taking control of A11Bots and all works in multiplayer. Last thing to add is the win condition which will be the death of the CEO. Was looking into some sort of bullet time sequence with a ragdoll CEO last night. Was quite satisfying flinging him against the wall in glorious slow motion. Got quite a few other major game elements to add but for now Ill concentrate on what I have and make it nice and shiny :D

Well took a while to get here, but here's the latest video of gameplay. Still early days though, got a load more to do such as get the research tree going, gathering resources, all the inside the building bits including construction which is going to be fun. Enjoy

Tank

Oh we also now have a tank, you can see I have excellent modelling/texture mapping skills....cough..

New layout

So after playing a game of Nightfire we decided that it would be a lot more fun to be able to run around the internal structures. So for instance the bot constructor is now a whole facility!

So imagine the nuclear missile launcher now being a whole hardened underground bunker where you need to blow up something to stop it launching. Also thinking the CEO actually has to get off his butt and press the big red shiny launch button.
